On Wednesday, February 28, New Leaders of the New York
Chapter of the American Jewish Committee is presenting a program titled
Extra-Dominationalism: Getting Beyond the Labels.
Three celebrated observers of American Jewish life will reflect on the challenges
Jewish individuals and families face in their struggle to find a niche in the
Jewish world that feels meaningful and authentic to them.
Featured panelists include Ari Goldman, author of Being Jewish and The Search for God at
Harvard, and former religion editor for The New York Times; Barbara Kligman, creator and
editor of Plotz (and the forthcoming Plozworld.com), a hilarious and insightful 'zine of
Jewish pop culture, and Dr. Jack Wertheimer, provost and chief academic officer of the
Jewish Theological Seminary.
Costs
$18 for non -AJC members and $10 for members or students. Refreshments will be served.
